Thanks to the amazing work of this year’s Programming Chair, Dreda Say Mitchell, the 2011 Festival saw a great schedule of events, mixing established favourites at the top of their game with fresh blood and exciting new voices. Under Dreda’s stewardship, Festival goers were treated to an enthralling programme of events – from intensive writing workshops as part of Creative Thursday to panels focusing on gritty, true life crime – plus some of the biggest names in the crime writing world as Special Guests: David Baldacci, Linwood Barclay, Lee Child, Martina Cole, Joseph Finder, Lisa Gardner, Tess Gerritsen, Dennis Lehane and Howard Marks. Phew!
