This year Dame Jenni Murray celebrates 30 years of presenting Woman’s Hour; she has made history as the ‘nation’s favourite voice’.
Working on the BBC Radio 4 show, she has of course come across many inspirational women, but the passion for social justice around equality that she’s renowned for, began long before, in her Barnsley childhood. It was here at an all-girls grammar school she first learnt about Boadicea – one of the heroines featured in her latest book, A History of Britain in 21 Women, which celebrates the inspiring and defiant spirit of heroines who pushed back boundaries and revolutionised our world. Dame Jenni promises to inspire, with the beguiling stories of forgotten visionaries, great artists and trailblazing politicians.
Dame Jenni will be interviewed by Steven Gale
