Bringing 2017’s Festival to a memorable close, it is with great pleasure that we welcome multi-award winning bass-baritone, Sir Bryn Terfel to perform in a rare and intimate recital at the beautiful Royal Hall. Famed for his stunning performances on the operatic stage, this very special event promises to be an unforgettable experience.
With a career that has seen him perform at all of the world’s greatest opera houses and concert halls, Sir Bryn Terfel is one of the most well respected and in-demand voices in the operatic world today. As a Grammy, Classical Brit and Gramophone Award winning artist, Sir Bryn Terfel is renowned for his portrayals of operatic characters as well as his solo recitals around the world and has been hailed for his versatility as a performer.
In a rare and intimate recital, Sir Bryn Terfel will be performing a wide range of repertoire from generations of composers in the beautiful setting of the Royal Hall. The acclaimed bass-baritone will be joined by another highly regarded and renowned musician, the Scottish pianist Malcolm Martineau.
