Meet our amazing speakers:
We’re very pleased to have Tim Marshall on the Salon North stage this October. Drawing on more than 25 years of reporting across the globe, geopolitical analyst and bestselling author of the extraordinarily brilliant Prisoners of Geography and Worth Dying For, Tim Marshall, will take to the Salon stage to discuss how geography can be seen as a decisive factor in the course of human history, helping us understand why Putin is so obsessed with Crimea and why the USA was destined to be a global superpower.
John Paul Flintoff
Want to revolutionise the way you communicate? Author of ‘How to Change the World’ broadcaster and journalist, John Paul Flintoff uses improvisation techniques and down-to-earth advice to supersize your networking and negotiation skills. He’ll explain why improvisation allows you to change the way you interact with others – improv is no longer just for performers – but is a life skill we can all use.
Finally, we’ll hear from critically acclaimed writer and broadcaster, Natalie Haynes. She’ll be on the Salon North stage to present her take on Classic Revolutionary ideas, drawing from on her hugely popular BBC Radio 4 show, ‘Natalie Haynes Stands up for the Classics’ – now in its fourth series. Natalie will explain just what the most revolutionary thinkers of the ancient world discovered and what they and their work can offer modern life in this high-octane, high entertainment, and humorous exploration of Revolution.
