Harrogate International Festivals are delighted to bring The Big Write back for 2017, with special guest author Ian McMillan. Aiming to break a Guinness World Record for the largest literacy session in the UK, this year’s Big Write will be another exciting opportunity for young writers across the Harrogate District to participate in a giant day of writing at the iconic Royal Hall.

The word pobble signifies ‘people’ in Celtic languages and Pobble is used in over 100 countries, contains over 30,000 pieces of work and over 10,000 teachers use the platform. Young authors will be selected from our day to feature on the website, giving them the opportunity to have their writing shared with the world on Pobble website. Suitable for Years 4, 5 & 6, schools across the district are being invited to join the Festival for a morning which will really get those creative juices flowing!

To sign-up, please contact the Festivals Office on 01423 562303, with places available to schools on a first come first served basis.
