We’re thrilled to announce that Belinda Bauer is joining our already star-studded 2014 programme to interview Laura Lippman. This fantastic pairing of two former journalists, turned award winning crime novelists, is a must see event at this year’s Festival.
With a career including 12 years at the Baltimore Sun, Laura Lippman is now one of the most acclaimed novelists in America today. Since the publication of What The Dead Know each of her hardcovers has hit the New York Times bestseller list. She has been awarded every major prize in crime fiction and is a recent recipient of the first ever mayor’s prize. She lives in Baltimore, New Orleans and New York City with her family. After I’m Gone is Laura’s nineteenth novel.
Belinda Bauer worked for a reporter for a news agency before her first novel, Blacklands, won the CWA Gold Dagger for Crime Novel of the Year. Her fourth novel, Rubbernecker, has been hailed for taking the psychological thriller into new territory, and her latest is the brilliant The Facts of Life and Death, out now.
