Duration: 2 hours
Spiegeltent, Crescent Gardens

At just twenty-three, Lucy-Anne Daniels is boldly making her mark on the UK Jazz scene and beyond, gracing the notable stages of the Royal Albert Hall, where she commanded the stage during the BBC Proms and frequently performs at Ronnie Scotts where she made her debut, at just sixteen. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant sounds of gospel and jazz, Lucy-Anne has become a vivid storyteller and creative improviser. Her rich, expressive vocals flow effortlessly across styles, and with “a voice mature beyond her years” (The Scotsman), she captivates listeners through her powerful interpretation of lyric and melodic control.

Named the winner of the prestigious Tina May Young Jazz Musician Award (2025),  she invites audiences into the moments of drama, humour, intimacy and connection of a musical communion.

Supporting is pianist Alex Ho and alto saxophonist Donovan Haffner who first connected through the supportive creative community of Tomorrow’s Warriors. Their collaboration began with informal duo sessions, where an immediate and intuitive musical chemistry emerged. Alex began his musical life as a classical pianist and was mentored by Gary Crosby OBE, leading to performances at EFG London Jazz Festival and Manchester Jazz Festival. Donovan Haffner could have once been described as one of the best-kept secrets on the UK  jazz scene but all this has changed with the award of Jazz Newcomer of the Year in this year’s UK Parliamentary Jazz Awards. Donovan blends straight-ahead contemporary jazz to innovative compositions in his own unique style.
