Nicholas McCarthy, the world’s only one-handed concert pianist, began his remarkable journey at age 14. He started with adapted two-handed repertoire before discovering the often overlooked works of left-hand-alone piano, over 3,000 compositions exist for solo left hand. Nicholas has since become a passionate advocate for this repertoire, collaborating with ABRSM to create the first-ever one-handed piano syllabus.
