Salon North is back!

Get ready for a night of curiosity, wonder, and unexpected inspiration. Join Dr Gillian Sandstrom, Dave Green, and Jonny Balchandani as they explore the surprising, the strange, and the quietly transformative in everyday life. From fleeting encounters with strangers to the hidden worlds of our dreams and the leafy magic of indoor jungles, this evening dives into ideas that make you pause, smile, and see the world a little differently.

Dr Gillian Sandstrom will reveal how passing strangers can spark connection, lift your mood, and transform everyday moments, giving you the confidence to put your phone down and truly notice the world around you.

Dave Green will guide you inside his lucid dream worlds, revealing the striking, surreal artworks that emerge when imagination meets sleep. Prepare to be fascinated, mesmerized, and a little transported.

And Jonny Balchandani, better known as @thebeardedplantaholic, will share his infectious love of houseplants, bust common plant care myths, and show how greenery can transform your space and wellbeing – no more killing your plants!

Each talk runs 25 minutes, with intervals to grab a drink, browse books from our incredible local bookseller Imagined Things, or simply soak up the buzzing atmosphere. Raworths Salon North is a night to feed your curiosity, spark your imagination, and leave inspired, entertained, and intellectually charged. The event will be hosted by the incredible producer and presenter Natasha Knight

Voted one of GQ magazine’s ‘Top 100 Things to do in the World,’ Salon North is an unforgettable evening that celebrates ideas, creativity, and the thrill of discovering your new hyperfixation.
