Husband and wife, both renowned journalists, present their book War Stories – a fascinating account of ordinary men and women swept up in the turbulence of war.

In 1956, Peter Snow was in the army for two years during National Service, he completed his training in the light infantry just outside York. The once foreign correspondent anchored Newsnight for many years, but whether you remember him from ITN News or Tomorrow’s World, his jovial enthusiasm famously brought general elections to life, with help of his swingometer. His wife Ann is the great granddaughter of David Lloyd George, and worked for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation until 2013.

Together they recount the true stories of love and bravery spanning four centuries and four continents, with tales of spies, escapes and uplifting acts of humanity.
