Igniting imaginations

We believe all children and young people should be able to experience the transformative power of the arts – and there’s nothing quite as inspiring as a live performance.

In the same way you can walk into a gallery or museum for free, we want opportunities to be available to access music, literature and the arts, allowing young people to try out a live performance for themselves.

Launched in 2016, the Library of Live brings arts experiences to children and young people across Harrogate and the surrounding area, ensuring access for all with free performances.

Discover a ‘library’ of free performances, open rehearsals, free books and digital downloads open to young people across Harrogate. From the thrill and intensity of classical music to the latest bold ideas at Berwins Salon North; from spine tingling tales from the leading names in crime fiction to an audience with bestselling authors, journalists and historians, if you’re aged 7-25, this is your opportunity to try something new.
