‘Bee’ Part Of Carnival 2023!
Would you like to ‘bee’ part of Carnival?
We’re looking for people from across the Harrogate District to take part and help bring the Carnival Parade to life on Sunday 30 July.
Would you like to join us as a flag waver or community representative, or are you interested in dressing up for this year’s ‘Bee’ theme? Whether you’re 2 or 102, alone or in a group we’d love to have you.
What will I need to do?
You don’t have to be an expert flag waver, or even wave a flag at all, just enthusiastic and excited to be part of the parade. You’ll be part of a group so you won’t be alone.
Get creative and dress up – either for this year’s ‘bee’ theme, or you can choose your own theme.
There’s only one carnival and everyone is welcome!
When and where?
You’ll be needed from 10.30am to 12pm on Sunday 30 July 2023, and be required to meet at Wesley Chapel, 28 Oxford St, Harrogate HG1 1PP at 10.30am, with the parade starting at approximately 11am. Please note there is no parking at Wesley Chapel, but plenty of on street parking and car parks in Harrogate.
The Carnival parade will go through the centre of Harrogate before heading to Valley Gardens.
Can children join in?
Absolutely! Everyone is welcome to join the parade. All we ask is that children under 16 years old are accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times, including during the parade.
