Rudding Park has become a sponsor of arts charity, Harrogate International Festivals, on the eve of its month-long flagship Music Festival this July.

Voci Quartet played in the luxury hotel’s spa to celebrate the partnership.

Owner of Rudding Park, Simon Mackaness, said: “Our spa, which features the UK’s first Roof Top Spa and Garden, recaptures Harrogate’s heritage by drawing natural waters from the grounds of Rudding Park. Our two organisations share a unique legacy as Harrogate International Festivals have helped position the town as a leading cultural destination for over 50 years.”
Harrogate’s top luxury hotel was voted Best Hotel in England at the Visit England Awards for Excellence earlier this year, and Best Hotel Spa in the UK by The Sunday Times.

Judi Mackaness said: “Harrogate International Festivals offer a vast array of distinctive and inspiring cultural experiences for all. As a business which relies heavily on tourism, we appreciate the importance it plays in attracting visitors to the district. We are delighted to have partnered with them so we can work together to help increase the profile of our beautiful town even more.”

Harrogate Festival features a packed month-long programme this July including soul-sensation Laura Mvula, the Hallé Orchestra conducted by Sir Mark Elder, outdoor theatre from Oddsocks, a major interactive art installation by Architects of Air, alongside a bespoke Children’s Festival and alternative music in the Spiegeltent.

Sharon Canavar, CEO of Harrogate International Festival, said: “We are incredibly lucky to have Rudding Park in Harrogate, who like our Festivals, strive to create a world-class offer. As an arts charity, we are grateful to Simon and Judi for their vision and support, sharing our values to ensure Harrogate thrives as a leading destination.”
