Brass Brigade Performance

The Brass Brigade is a youth music-making project led by St John Fisher Catholic Academy in Harrogate, working in partnership with the Harrogate Band, Wetherby Silver Band, and Harrogate International Festivals. Delivering completely free, boundary-free brass-playing opportunities with no barriers to learning, the project has engaged over 400 young people across the Harrogate and Wetherby areas over the last two years.

The performance you see today features young musicians aged 9–13 who have chosen to pursue a brass instrument further, forming the next generation of players. The Brass Brigade was delighted to be awarded the Brass Bands England “Band Project of the Year” award in September 2025.
