Dead Giveaways: The Pan Macmillan Merch Tent is returning to the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival with a brilliant line‑up of events and exclusive giveaways.

How the ‘day job’ can inspire the darkest plots with Fiona Cummins, Claire Parkin and Barnaby Martin. Come along to grab some crime fiction-themed freebies: merch, samplers, treats and the chance to win a prize bundle!

Spaces for these sessions are limited and book up quickly. Only reserve a ticket if you’re definitely coming along, especially as main‑stage events run at the same time. Additional spaces may open up on the day, but this isn’t guaranteed and will depend on weather.

This event is free to attend, but a valid Festival site ticket is still required for entry. If you don’t already have one for that day, please make sure to book your site pass.
