A relatively new talent in the chamber music world, Connaught Brass have already made their debut at the Lucerne Festival and London’s Wigmore Hall. The vibrant ensemble seeks to redefine how brass chamber music is perceived, using their individual musical personalities to produce a unique collective sound. The quintet have been artists of the Tillett Trust, City Music Foundation, Kirckman Concert Society and Britten Pears Chamber Music Residency, and between them have been players of the European Union Youth Orchestra, Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, and National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain. They now regularly perform on the professional orchestral circuit.

Experience a captivating concert with Connaught Brass that traverses timeless melodies including Jupiter from Holst’s The Planets, with its grand brass and sweeping harmonies, and Handel’s Water Music, showcasing dance forms and bright instrumental textures. Whilst Elgar Howarth’s Four Swiss Tunes highlight precise brass articulation and contrapuntal writing, rooted in folk influences. A concert of vivid contrasts, beautifully crafted arrangements, and timeless classics.

The concert will last c.2 hours including a 20 minute interval.
