In the safety of the Old Swan Hotel, on your own or in pairs, spend 15 minutes grilling a prime suspect thought to have committed a heinous homicide. In this fictional scenario, former senior detective Graham Bartlett, police adviser to scores of crime writers and TV drama makers, will brief you on a murder most foul before you step into the interview room and pit your wits against the prisoner. Then how do you turn an interview into a compelling scene in your fiction? Graham will follow up with tips on how use interview scenes to power a plot.
