It is no surprise to learn that two years of lockdowns, restrictions and social-distancing has had a huge effect on the nation’s mental health and wellbeing. With over two-thirds of the UK population admitting to increased levels of worry and anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic, it is crucial to ask what long-term effects these will have on us as we keep adjusting to ‘the new normal’, and where do we go from here to reverse the damage COVID-19 has inflicted on our mental health?

Our panel includes psychiatrist and psychotherapist Penelope Campling, who over the course of her 40-year career has seen many positive changes in how we approach mental health, and yet she is increasingly troubled by the state of our health services. Also joining us is bestselling author and psychotherapist Owen O’Kane, who will be teaching us the key fundamentals of therapy and how to apply these to your own life to form healthier perspectives and let you ditch harmful thought patterns. Our final guest is TV and radio presenter Matthew Stadlen, who will be sharing his own experiences of struggling with OCD and anxiety during the pandemic.
