Julian Norton isn’t your average vet – he’s the Yorkshire Vet, best known for his appearances on the Channel 5 TV series of the same name with just over 2 million regular viewers.

A local man, Julian has spent most of his working life in Thirsk in North Yorkshire, and regularly writes columns for The Yorkshire Post about his day-to-day duties as a local vet.

On top of his veterinary duties, Julian has quite a few sporting achievements under his belt including representing Team GB and was awarded the Dalesman’s ‘Yorkshireman of the Year’ award in 2017. Candid and heart-warming, his Yorkshire Vet books offer a fascinating insight into his eventful life among the fauna of the Dales.
