Our Site Passes grant you access to the main Festival grounds of The Old Swan Hotel, including the bookshop and the bar on any individual day, or for the whole weekend! Whether you want to rub shoulders with other crime fans in the bar, browse the latest releases at the bookshop or just soak in the Festival atmosphere, a site pass will have you covered.

I’ve already got tickets – Do I need to buy a Site Pass?

I have a Weekend Break Package or Weekend Rover		You’re covered for the whole weekend
I have a Friday Rover	If you want to come on site on Thursday, Saturday or Sunday, you will need a Site Pass	You’re covered for Friday
I have a ticket for Friday, but want to pop in on Saturday	Yes, even if you’re just dropping by you’ll need a Site Pass if you haven’t purchased a Rover or Individual Event Ticket for that day
I have a ticket to a single event		Your event ticket covers entry to the site for that day

The cost of a Site Pass cannot be redeemed against the cost of any event tickets you choose to buy for that day, so please do consider carefully if you would like a Site Pass or an event ticket. If you need any further guidance, please do call our Box Office on 01423 562 303.

Why a site pass?

As the Festival has grown, we have to cater for toilets, bar space, seating space and a host of other services, including making the whole site safe and catering appropriately for everyone who comes on site. We manage this by selling a set number of site tickets which allows access to the site and includes grabbing a drink at the Festival bar, browsing at the book shop, attending one of Publisher Events happening across the site, or soaking up the Festival atmosphere.
