Special Guest: Mark Billingham

2025 is a very special year for one of the UK’s most talented and popular authors – and it presents a silver lining for crime fiction fans everywhere. It is 25 years since Mark Billingham stormed the bestseller charts with his brilliant debut Sleepy Head, and this year also sees the publication of his 25th novel, What the Night Brings, and the return of his beloved protagonist Tom Thorne.

Twice a winner of the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year Award; a former actor, stand-up comedian and scriptwriter; a member of the Fun Lovin’ Crime Writers; and with a string of number one releases, Mark has enjoyed a phenomenal career.

He will discuss his terrific twenty-five in the company of the 2025 Programming Chair, Mick Herron.
