Yevgeny Sudbin
Yevgeny Sudbin is an internationally acclaimed pianist who has performed at major venues including London’s Royal Festival Hall and New York’s Lincoln Center. His recordings have received widespread praise, with recent honours such as Gramophone’s 2023 Recording of the Year. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, he now returns as a visiting professor, continuing to inspire the next generation of musicians.
His upcoming concert offers a rich and dynamic programme that showcases his extraordinary talent and interpretive range. In Bach’s Fantasia and Fugue in A minor, Sudbin reveals the music’s emotional depth and structural brilliance. Liszt’s Funérailles follows, with it’s sweeping drama and expressive power, allowing him to explore both the grandeur and the intimacy of the piece. This is a performance that promises both technical mastery and profound musical insight.
