Our third Young Musician of the 2023 Harrogate Music Festival performs a recital in the Wesley Centre.
Doors will open at 10.30am. Seating is unreserved and Friends of the Festival will have priority entry.Wesley Centre, 28 Oxford St, Harrogate HG1 1PPThomas Kelly was a prizewinner at the 2021 Leeds International Piano Competition. He started playing the piano aged 3, and in 2006 became Kent Junior Pianist of the Year and attained ABRSM Grade 8 with Distinction. Between 2015 and 2021, Thomas studied with Andrew Ball, firstly at the Purcell School of Music and then at the Royal College of Music. Thomas began studying with Dmitri Alexeev in April 2021, with whom he continued with whilst completing his Master’s degree at RCM.
Thomas was awarded 2nd prize and special prize for best semi-final performance at Hastings International Concerto Competition 2022. Thomas accompanied young musician Charlotte Saluste-Bridoux at the 2022 Harrogate Music Festival and returns this year to make his debut solo performance.
