Lorenzo Nguyen | Piano
Edoardo Grieco | Violin
Francesco Massimino | Cello
Founded in 2013 in Turin, Trio Concept, formerly known as Trio Chagall, have quickly established themselves as one of the leading ensembles in the classical music world. The trio have been performing together since they were teenagers studying together at the Turin Conservatoire. In 2023, they won First Prize at the Schoenfeld International String Competition in Harbin, China, and the YCAT international auditions at Wigmore Hall. They were selected as the 2024 ensemble-in-residence at the Verbier Festival, where they also received the prestigious Prix Paternot. Recently named ‘ECHO Rising Stars’ for the 2025/2026 season, the trio will tour Europe’s top venues, including the Musikverein and Elbphilharmonie.
Trio Consort open the concert with Bloch’s Three Nocturnes, a piece that evokes the mystery through sweeping, expressive melodies. They will also perform Ravel’s Piano Trio in A minor (1914), filled with rich harmonies and a distinctly French charm and Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio No. 1 in D minor, Op. 49, a beloved work renowned for its lyrical beauty and the delicate yet dynamic interactions between the instruments. This carefully curated program promises a memorable morning of exceptional chamber music.
The concert will last c.60 minutes with no interval.
