Harrogate International Festivals are offering 7-25 year olds the opportunity to explore music, arts and literature free of charge through a new ticket scheme.

Young people are invited to explore Harrogate International Festivals’ year-round programme of music, arts and literature festivals through Library of Live, a scheme that will offer hundreds of free tickets to festival events throughout the year.

The scheme, delivered through funding from Arts Council England, encourages young people to try something new without financial risk. Through Library of Live, Harrogate International Festivals hope to break down barriers to arts participation and develop a new generation of arts lovers.

HIF’s year-round programme of events brings internationally renowned authors, musicians, speakers and performers to venues across Harrogate. From Theakston Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival and Raworths Harrogate Literature Festival to Harrogate Music Festival and the Spiegeltent, HIF offers events for lovers of all genres and styles.

This Winter, young people are invited to experience live chamber music at Harrogate International Sunday Series. This season’s programme features performances from pianists Louis Schwizgebel and Yevgeny Sudbin, violinist Jennifer Pike, trombonist Peter Moore and the Ruisi Quartet. Read more here.

For literature lovers, Berwins Salon North offers young people the chance to experience three inspiring TED-style talks from leading minds in art, science and psychology. This January and February asks the questions ‘What matters most?’ and ‘What makes us who we are?’. Read more here.
