Whodunnit? That is the question on everyone’s lips at the author dinner, along with good food, wine and conversation.

Your table will be hosted by a leading crime writer who will lend their insights, experience and skill – or failing that, their best guess – to identify the perpetrator of the dastardly crime in the murder mystery that will be acted out for your delight, deflection and diversion.

Knives, forks and sharp wits at the ready, let’s eat!

Includes a welcome glass of wine, 2-course murder mystery dinner, teas and coffees, as well as a copy of your host’s latest book… plus a prize for the winning table!

The scenarios for the murder mysteries of Friday and Saturday’s dinner will be different each evening.

Ticket Collection: All tickets for the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival are to be collected from our on-site box office, located at the entrance of the Old Swan Hotel, from 3.00pm on Thursday 17 July 2025.
