Talking Heads & Harrogate Book Trail
Imagine looking up at The Crown Hotel and being confronted by three giant ‘Easter Island’ heads which talk, sing and tell jokes – but the face on one of those heads is yours!
As part of the 10th Raworths Harrogate Literature Festival we bring you Talking Heads, a free outdoor installation at The Crown Hotel from dusk, Thursday 20 – Saturday 22 October. Find yourself reciting Shakespeare or singing to the crowd, and have everyone laughing their metaphorical heads off.
Or, if you’re looking for daytime fun in the blustery Autumnal weather, head down to the Pinewoods this month for the Harrogate Book Trail. Search for the QR codes to find out some fascinating facts about literature, collect the clues and solve the puzzle.

Harrogate Book Trail
Scan the QR codes on all 10 of our signs hidden around the Pinewoods. Each base has a fascinating fact to celebrate 10 years of Raworth’s Harrogate Literature Festival. Each message includes a clue. Write them all down somewhere safe and once you’ve found all 10 clues, put the letters together to create the name of a famous author and receive your certificate.
