With its bohemian mirrored walls, wooden floors, red velvet booths and lamped lighting, the Spiegeltent forms a sensational setting for an unforgettable night out in Harrogate, and after a two-year hiatus, the much-loved venue returned to Crescent Gardens in 2024, bringing mix of familiar faces as well as some exciting new names to Harrogate.

Drag queen superstar Divina De Campo opened the Spiegeltent with a glamourous evening of cabaret, whilst Festival favourites The Gypsy Queens and the feather-ruffling House of Burlesque returned to join this year’s line-up and talented British jazz singer Jo Harrop was also back by popular demand.  Meanwhile, Harrogate’s legendary nightclub, Jimmy’s, was resurrected for night out like no other!

Bradford-based dance company Punjabi Roots, who went down a storm at last year’s Harrogate Carnival, made their Spiegeltent debut, along with contemporary soul singer Mica Sefia and the prize-winning Gildas Quartet, famed for exploring new ways of performing classical music. Helena Ricci created a mesmerising, multisensory experience with a late night glow in the dark gig featuring a light up harp and the brilliant Maxwell Quartet brought us folk tunes and a smattering of classical favourites.

During the day, the Spiegeltent was all about the good life, with Flow Yoga and and hour of Sound Bath healing, along with free community events including a Saturday afternoon Bring Your Own Vinyl session and a lunchtime gig with Josh Ozturk. There was fun for all the family with a weekend-long Children’s Festival, with children enjoying science and storytelling to drumming and dancing in the magical Spiegeltent setting.

The Spiegeltent helps make the Festival a truly memorable celebration of music and the arts, and is the perfect place for the community to come together to enjoy a unique and special place.
