Welcome to the Harrogate International Sunday Series. Our season of coffee concerts returned to the Old Swan Hotel in early 2020 with an international line-up of world-class chamber musicians.
The series opened at the beginning of February with German-born Swiss pianist Andreas Haefliger celebrating Beethoven’s 250th birthday year. Later in the month we welcomed the winner of the 2016 BBC Young Musician competition, cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason. Famed for performing at the Sussex Royal Wedding, Sheku is joined onstage by his sister, pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason. The Ashwell Trio shared their passion for music spanning the Classical, Romantic and 21st Century eras and the Esmé Quartet, praised for their warm sound and powerful stage presence, also feature in the series. We were saddened, that due to coronavirus situation, we were unable to welcome our final performer, pianist and double winner of the International Classical Music Award, Joseph Moog but do hope that he will be able to join us at a later date.
We look forward to welcoming you to the 2021 Harrogate International Sunday Series in the beautiful surroundings of the Old Swan Hotel next year.
