Director of Music at the Yehudi Menuhin School Ashley Wass returns to Harrogate for the first time since 2007, when he made his debut as a Young Musician. His programme will include Piano Sonata in A minor by contemporary composer Alexey Shor alongside Schumann, Bach, Shostakovich and Franck. Book here.

Trio Balthasar | The Old Swan Hotel, Harrogate | 12 February 2023 | 11am

Comprised of former Festival Young Musician Michael Foyle, principal cellist of the London Symphony Orchestra Tim Hugh and acclaimed pianist Iain Burnside, the Trio present a programme where central masterpieces sit alongside a diverse repertoire, which will include pieces by Joan Trimble, Brahms, Haydn and Debussy. Book here.

Jeneba Kanneh-Mason | The Old Swan Hotel, Harrogate | 26 February 2023 | 11am

By popular demand, the immensely talented Jeneba Kanneh-Mason will follow in the footsteps of two of her siblings to make her Harrogate debut. Named one of Classic FM’s ‘Rising Stars’, she’ll play Fantasie Negre No.1 in E minor by Florence Price, as well as pieces by Shostakovich, Beethoven, Mendelssohn and Prokofiev. Book here.

Coco Tomita | The Old Swan Hotel, Harrogate | 26 March 2023 | 11am

Hailed as ‘one to watch’ by Gramaphone Magazine and ‘Young Classical Star’ by Classic FM, Japanese violinist Coco Tomita first gained recognition after winning the BBC Young Musician 2020 Strings Category. Expect a stunning programme featuring Beethoven, Janáček, Ravel, Poulenc and Clara Schumann. She’ll perform with internationally recognised pianist Simon Callaghan. Book here.
