2012 is full of Great Expectations for Britain and it’s a theme we have whole-heartedly embraced at the Festival. Alongside our signature blend of international artists, we’ll be welcoming Special Guest Curator Dennis Rollins and celebrated author and journalist Henry Sutton as curator of our Raworths Literature and Lecture Series.
The spectacular Spiegeltent returns this year for a two-week residency on Crescent Gardens, providing a magical stage for a dazzling array of headline acts, as well as a fun-filled Children’s Festival programme featuring fabulous children’s authors, music workshops and hands-on science experiments.
Our fresh, vibrant programme is bigger and better than ever this year. Delve into the life of Charles Dickens as we celebrate his 200th birthday with Claire Tomalin, discover sensational cellist Pavel Gomziakov in his UK debut or take your pick from a choice of more than 90 other fabulous events and experiences.
