2013 Festival Tickets Released!
Join Us to Celebrate a Decade of Crime Writing in Harrogate
We are delighted to announce all Individual and Rover tickets are now on sale for the Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Festival. Book now to secure your seats for a weekend packed with the very best in Crime Fiction and help us celebrate a Decade of Crime Writing Festivals here in Harrogate.

The 2013 line up is our best yet, with Special Guests Kate Atkinson, Lee Child, Charlaine Harris, Susan Hill, William McIlvanney, Ian Rankin and Ruth Rendell interviewed by Jeanette Winterson. We also have a packed line up off panels showcasing the best in Crime Fiction from around the world, including a look at German Crime Writing and authors from South of the Equator. We’ll be asking ‘Who are You?’ in a discussion on Social Media, investigating forensics with Professor Sue Black, as well as Slaughtering the Sacred Cows and Standing on the Shoulders of Giants (yes, that’s right!).
We will be welcoming the star of Vera, Brenda Blethyn, for an in depth look at both the books and the TV series, with Ann Cleeves along with one of the show’s producers and screen writers. Lee Child will be grilled by the hilarious Sarah Millican in a interview that is bound to be something to remember.
As well as celebrating our own anniversary we will also be celebrating 60 years of the man with the golden gun, James Bond, with a special panel, dinner and book group dedicated to our favourite spy. So grab a Martini or a pint of Old Peculier and get ready to toast a decade of the best Crime Writing Festival around!
